After many faulse alarms Saffron was born 4.25pm wed, 7lb9oz and the gorry details..........

Decided to go to the hospital at 5am wed after 2 days of not very strong contractions, expected to be told it was a false alarm as labour pains were not at all painful.Got told to walk around and use the ball as i was in the very early stages of labour, 6am was told i was only 3cm so led down and tried to sleep, dh fell asleep in the chair, labour pains still not painful, 8am and doctor told me i was 6cm, realised now i was'nt going home without a baby, 8.30am decided to try the birthing pool as contractions got stronger but still not painful, stayed in the pool for 4 hours, started to feel realy fed up as it was all taking so long so decided to get out and have an epidural, did'nt have epidural till 3pm by then contractions were comming evry 2 mins and getting very painful. 3.20pm realised epidural had only worked down one side and i was still feeling the pains so had to top it up. 4.20pm doctor broke my waters and told me to push, three pushes and she was out.
I told the midwife i did'nt want to have any stitches unless i realy needed them so three midwifes took a look and decided i needed stitches, by then the epidural had been taken out so could'nt be topped up, after half an hour and 6 or 7 stitches im left feeling very sore and tierd, stayed in the night so dhcould go home and have a good nights sleep, got home 5pm today feeling very sore and very tierd.
Saffron is feeding well (from bottle) and slept for 6 hours last night, lets hope it lasts.
Going to bed now to try and get some kip.

Hi Marne....firstly congratulations. Hope you and saffron are well this morning.

I didnt know if you would be interested in taking a look at my little dd's clothes (most are new and the rest hardly worn) She is 11 months and growing fast. They are all in excellent condition and as everyone knows with little babes that were born in the summer, all they wear is baby grows so these have hardly been worn.

Email me at [email protected] if any questions. Happy browsing!!
