mrspitt has a girl !!

Hello
Don't know many MN'ers but just wanted to announce that i had a beautiful girl on Friday 13th, unlucky for some!

My waters went at 1am so with great anticipation i sat waiting on the contractions to follow.After 13 1/2 hrs of nothing we went to hospital to check everything was ok.Was only 2-3cm but no real contractions to speak of so came home again at 5.30pm.

Then about 6.30-7pm the pain started to kick in and went back to hospital at 8.30pm.
By that time was 6-7cm and looking for some drugs. I got on the G&A but then asked for diamorphine, whoops sorry said the MW no time at which point i had huge urge to push.
Gracie Katharine was born at 9.33pm 7lb 2oz.
Definately the best,easiest and quickest labour.

Congrats MrsPitt - I'm due in 12 days - so here is hoping for a Jan birth.

Fab names - but I am biased as dd1 is Grace.

hi mrspitt - many congratulations on the birth of Gracie

I was due on Saturday but convinced she was going to be born on Friday the 13th unfortunately I am still pregnant!

Come over to the Jan 06 post natal thread theres quite a few of us on there (not me as yet) but we are a nice bunch!

Thanks Sweetkitty for the invite. Might just do that. Hope your not pregnant for too much longer there is nothing worse than watching your due date float past! Will send some contraction vibes to you
