Alexander Peter finally made his appearance on Sunday 7/9/03 at 4.45 am weighing in at 7lb 5 1/2 oz

Hope the full story explains the late announcement:
Started contractions Thursday evening which carried on through Friday. Put on TENS machine at 4.30 pm and went to hospital at midnight. Contractions 5 mins apart lasting about 2 mins. Cervix 2 cm dilated. Went home to have a bath and stick it out till I needed gas and air. Went in at 10.30 on Saturday and hit a problem about 8pm with baby bunny trying to come out without using my cervix!! Unfortunately this meant I needed an epidural to stop me passing out from the pain.

Alexander was finally born naturally thanks to a wonderful midwife who let me push for 2 and 1/2 hours.

I left hospital the next day but unfortunately Alexander and I had a little disagreement concerning his feeding, so I went to a GP unit and spent 3 days sorting it out. needless to say I won and he is now breastfeeding quite happily!
