Better late than never-my post AND baby James!!
Waters broke 3am last Thursday,my due date,no regular pains,so waited for DP to take ds1 and dd to childminders and off we set to Maternity.
Was examined and only 2cms but i couldn't go home because of the risk of infection.I'd had a section 2years ago with dd,and wanted to try VBAC.I hadn't realised it's risky to be induced 'cause of internal scar?36hours later still no regular contractions, was given a birthing ball and told to BOUNCE!!Was a bit crampy by Saturday morning,so consultant examined me and found I was 5cms!Was taken to a very busy labour ward at 1130am,put on iv drip and monitor.Used breathing exercises and by 115pm was ready for gas and air!!!Then decided I needed the loo, midwife and DP helped me there and when I was about to sit down I realised I could feel a head! Was frog marched back to labour room and stood bent over the bed, gripping DP's arms(think his scars are starting to heal now)and baby James was delivered at 2.10pm all 9lb9ozs of him.
We got home at 1030 Saturday night and are all doing well...
Sorry it's a bit long...
