Just wanted to say a BIG CONGRATS to Mummyhill on the new arrival, I won't spoil the news by telling you what it is.

But well done sweetie, I'll be over when you settle to have a munch

Thank you for the kind wishes here are the details for those who want them.

David Lee Hill was born on 22nd September 2005 at 00:41 weighing 8lb 12oz.

Went in on the 21st to be induced. Had two pessaries as was not progressing as well as had been hoped. At 8pm was in a lot of pain, contracting every 2 - 3 minutes, but still not dilating so they moved me into a side room and allowed DH to stay with me. Took a bath as suggested by the midwife to try to ease the pains. My waters went whilst in the bath, when DH and the midwufe looking after me managed to get me out of the bath and onto the bed they discovered that I had gone from 2cm to 8cm in approx 2 hrs. It was then a mad rush to get me down onto the delivery suite. I just about managed the transfer from the bed to the birthing chair, as the midwife was putting on her gloves David came flying out. Barely had time for gas and air let alone the epidural I had asked for in my birth plan. Baby is fine I am a little bruised and traumatised by the speed of it but other than that everything is fine.

Glad they allowed DH to stay instead of sending him home at 8pm like last time becuase he would of missed the birth.

We are now spending time getting to know each other and trying to get this feeding thing cracked. DD loves having a baby brother.
