Just to let you know, we had a baby girl at 10:30 this morning, at home - 4 hour labour, 10lb 2oz - no stitches or pain relief!!! (Though not really by design - it just happened that way!).

Thanks so much for your support over the last week or two when it seemed she would never come. It really meant a lot - ironically, despite being 2 weeks late, the midwives thought she seemed early - vernix etc. Just goes to show you can't necessarily go by dates.

CONGRATULATIONS! Great to hear that your baby has finally arrived, and you got a quick labour with no stitches to boot. I am so pleased for you, and sooo jealous. Hope all of us mums-to-be get lucky on the labour front and don't have to go for hours and hours in this heat!

Even if it wasn't meant to happen that way, it's pretty inspiring to all of us due soon who are worrying about the imminent labours we will have to go through!
