In shock, so very very sad.

I found out today that a girl I went to school with, and used to drink with a few years later (she was more a friend of a friend) ended her own life yesterday by jumping in front of a train

She was 32/33 for gods sake, the poor soul, how desperate she must have felt.

Oh how awful

I don't think anyone who is sane could choose to do this. You can only hope she wasn't aware of what she was doing.

Apparently she had suffered the torment of a deep depression for years

Bugger

Happens a lot though - most people do manage to climb out and get better. A few don't You have to be quite determined to die to jump in front of a train though. Poor train driver too
