My dad was found dead a few weeks ago, he had a heart attack. I've had a horrendous few weeks burying him, then clearing out his flat I I am the only child and my parents have been divorced for decades). I stayed with mum throughout all this as I live 300 miles away in another country. Anyway, I'm dealing with it ( I think).
Today my mum got a bill for the flowers she sent to dad's funeral, as we expected ( they were long divorced). She also got a bill addressed to me at her address, for the flowers I sent. Now this is fine, I have no problems with paying it at all, I just think its a little odd? Anyone know the protocol for this kind of thing? Is this normal, or should the bill for my flowers have been sent to me, or the solicitor? I'm just interested in the protocol really - he is well aware I don't live with mum, or even in the same country, and could have got my address with ease.
It makes no odds really, I'll be paying anyway and have no problem with that except I think its a bit odd. And I will have to go to the bank to get a stirling check. Can anyone advise?
