Oh goodness MB - I really couldn't read the eulogy. How brave of you.

In the days after my mum died I dealt with all the immediate practical stuff - feeding us all, including relatives from Canada who arrived and were staying at my dad's house.

I have absolutely no idea, though, how the funeral and 'wake' were organised - who chose the menus, who decided how many we were catering for, etc. It was all such a blur.

But it happened, it was a really good party (my mum would have loved it!) and we got through it. Even enjoyed it actually.

Will be thinking of you all tomorrow.

Good luck MB.

I once attended a funeral where we were all asked to write our names and add a few lines about the deceased (were we related? Did we work with/go to school/university with him? Specific memories/funny stories about him). The widow was mighty pleased she did it as it gave her some very treasured anecdotes.

Although today will be sad I believe there is going to be so much love and respect for Mr MB, you and your children will remember today proudly. You have always written so wonderfully about Mr MB I am sure the eulogy will be an amazing tribute to him.

Much love to you all.
