Birthdays

My darling dad died on Good Friday this year. His birthday is coming up and I just wanted to ask how to you acknowledge heavenly birthdays?

My dad was an atheisest so I say that term lightly. I was just going to go Gails for the first time because apparently he liked it. I guess I am asking the right way to grieve and keep his memory alive.

Sorry for your loss.

Just choose something or somewhere to go that connects you with him.

Did he have a 'special' place?

Doing something he liked is a great way to remember him on his 'heavenly birthday'. You could just light a candle. It's not just about him, it's about you too.

He had so many places that I could connect my memory to him. He took me to Harrods, Disney World and The Savoy for the first time. He was also down to earth and we went to parks and cinemas too. He loved oriental food. He would cook amazing food.
So that is why I want to try Gails for the first time in his memory.

This is very true. He would appreciate this as well.

My mum died 5 years ago and every year on her birthday I have some pistachio ice cream which was her favourite. It's nothing big but you can usually get pistachio ice cream wherever you are so it's a nice way to remember her 😊

P.s. I'm very sorry for your loss 🖤
