Another loss

In under a year, I've lost my mum, an Aunt and just last week my uncle.
All 3 were siblings, all in their 80s, so a lovely long life but I feel so bloody shit and sad all the time, I'm dreading another funeral.
I'm currently having bereavement counselling but I only have 3 sessions left.
Has anyone lost close relatives so close together?

Hi, I lost my Uncle, Grandmother and Dad within a year it is heartbreaking to lose anyone. My Dad wasn't old. Time will help to heal.

I am so sorry you have had so much sadness to deal with, life can be cruel. Like you I too have my share of death, two beautiful sons and my lovely DH died over a three year period from 2020. I still feel so raw and sad, does it ever end?
Look after yourself and take care.

I'm sorry for your losses. I think how you feel right now is natural but it will gradually ease over time.

I lost a sibling and a parent in a similar timeframe and it made me feel like I'd been run over by several buses, but gradually I have more better days/moments than terrible ones.

I know it's annoying when people say this but try and stay in the moment and get through that moment. I think often it's when you start looking ahead to the future and imagining feeling this way indefinitely that it becomes most overwhelming.

If you can rest and be kind to yourself in between the deepest moments of sadness, that also helps. Your body can only sustain intense emotions for limited periods so there will be periods where it hurts a little less, try and notice those ebbs and flows.💐
