24 week surgical termination

Hello, Myself and my partner decided on a termination after a late diagnosis of tr1 21 and avsd. We choose this decision because we have 3 children and want what is best for our family and the future. If anyone had to make this extremely hard decision I would love to know how you coped. I am struggling knowing that I will never conceive again due to my age and that breaks my heart as my kids where really excited for their new brother to arrive. My oldest is taking it very bad he is 11.

I haven’t been through this but I just wanted to say I’m so sorry you are going through this, it must be so emotionally difficult for you to navigate.

As an aside, if you are looking for support you are much more likely to to find if it you move your post to either the “Pregnancy Choices” or “Antenatal Tests” as you will be surrounded by women who have been in very similar circumstances and will be able to empathise with the situation you are in, or who have previously been through it.
