Please can you help advise me.
A friend of a friend's baby has just died, born alive at 24 weeks but died shortly after birth.

I want to send something, but all the things I can think of just make me think "none of this will replace her baby".. I am not trying to do that.

I know they are really short of cash, I also know that they will have to pay for a funeral.. is it really bad form to send them a card with an envelope inside and some cash.. It doesn't sound right even as I am writing this but it would actually help them...

What to do.. ??

I am so sorry for them. If they are short of cash, I would send them some cash with a note saying exactly that: that you want to help and you don't know how. I would appreciate the gesture if I were them.
