My father is dying. I wake up and talk to my husband and he tells me not to talk about it as I talked about it last night

It is horrible watching a parent die. I am sorry you are going through this. It is such a hard thing to do.

My mother's death was a wake up call for me and I realised how awful and abusive my husband actually was. I cried myself to sleep for six months and he could not have cared less. I am now divorced and my life is much happier and better.

I am so sorry you are going through this, seemingly alone. That seems utterly cruel of your husband. Is he normally so dismissive? Do you have anyone else you can talk to about it?

I am not taking sides but perhaps your husband is also finding it difficult or he may be scared. It must be so hard for you my thoughts are with you.
