Mum's birthday

My mum passed away last year. Obviously I have memories of her around me all the time.
It will be her birthday next week. I am not religious. Wonder what ppl do to mark the day? She was buried in a foreign country so I can't just bring flower to her on the day.

My dad passed almost 2 years ago (I am tearing up now, I still find it hard to talk about or put in writing). On his birthday me, mum and my sister meet up and go for lunch or dinner and raise a glass to him. We think about him every hour of every day still but this is a special day just for him.
