The hospice my dad died with took my number and said they could offer support before he died even though I don't live there as he's their patient so like over the phone she said

He's gone now and they've just called but she seemed to say all their bereavement support were where they are so I'd have to contact my doctors for something round here.

Feel so down
I thought someone might care about what's going on and she was so nice the person who took my number
I was looking forward to hearing from them because I thought there might be something and now nothing

Hi op,

Firstly I'm so sorry for your loss. Do you have some rl support? Secondly I'm not sure how the bereavement works but 100 percent go through your gp and reach out for help. I think if you Google free bereavement services there's some you can ring yourself.

Take care of yourself, sending hugs

Just so upset

Really liked the hospice person who came out to see dad

Thought might be able to speak to them

I really need to speak to someone about the funeral but I don't have anyone 🙁

I'm sorry to hear that. No family members to offer some support? There's always wise mumsnetters who will be happy to help. I'm here. Keep talking
