Settld

Has anybody used the website Settld to notify organisations about a death? I used Tell us Once for government organisations but there are so many energy companies, banks etc to notify too and their website looks promising. But it is hard to see any reviews of it anywhere.

I considered it, but didn't in the end, as I found it easier to notify the individual companies myself. It does have good reviews though (better than LifeLedger, which is another company I was told about).

If you'd rather not deal with the admin, just use Settld. But if you're unsure or would rather do things yourself, I found it surprisingly easy to notify companies. I found the banks, insurance company, phone company, utility companies etc that I had to contact all had some form of online bereavement form which i just filled in with basic details (name of deceased, address, date of death, executor's contact details) and that was it. The only one who even asked to see the Death Certificate was the bank, and I could have uploaded a copy (if I could get it to work!) if I didn't want to go into a branch.
