Christmas gift

My sister's husband died unexpectedly last month. She has told us that she won't be buying anyone Christmas presents (to be expected) and that she does not want us to give her anything either. I have already got her something - do you think it would be wrong of me to give her the gift? It is not big or expensive, however it does mean something.
People's thoughts on this would be appreciated.

I think you should respect her wishes.
You can give her the gift for her next birthday?

Tell her and give her it now, unwrapped? So that it's just an ad-hoc present for someone you love who's going through heartbreak, and totally not a Christmas present.
