Cremation

I gave birth to my daughter on the weekend. The hospital bereavement team got in touch with me to let me know that she would be cremated today. But they also said the ashes are only available to be picked up a week post cremation? Why the delay?

It took nearly two weeks to get dhs back. I suppose they have to be processed and everything checked. I suppose she had to be transported to a crem and then back to the hospital so they might wait until they have a few people to take.

@FormerlyPathologicallyHappy hate that you had to go through that as well! I got a text from the hospital saying cremation was last Wednesday so I think I’ll try my luck today and give the funeral home a call. Just hate having her ‘out there’ and not at home with me!
