Anniversaries

I’m just looking for some advice.

Earlier this year, one of my friends died suddenly and unexpectedly. She was abroad at the time and her family in the UK didn’t find out about her death for a few days (this might be relevant).

I’ve known her family for decades, although I only see them occasionally. I’m thinking of sending them a card or message on the anniversary of my friend’s death. Is this the right thing to do, or might they possibly prefer not to mark the date? On the day itself, they had no idea she had died.

A ‘thinking of you’ card would be lovely.

They will always want to mark the date.

sorry that you lost your friend ❤️
