Keepsake from clothes

I wondered if anyone who has been bereaved has used some of their loved ones clothes in a keepsake type of way?

My dad died last summer. I already have some of his work clothes - as we share a hobby, and I love wearing them. He was cremated in his and our favourite clothes, have donated lots to various charities, but we have a lot of lovely ones left. They are all nice memories.

I'm planning to share some out with my brother, but has anyone had anything like a keepsake cuddly made, or....??! I'd love to see some examples.

Thanks to you all x

We have a quilt from baby's clothes and a teddy made from grandpa's cord jackets.

Someone I know made a cushion cover from a favourite blouse of her mum's

Google keepsake pillow from old shirt there are lots of different people who can make them. Some have a poem on them.

I made a few quilts for friends from shirts their Dad and/or husband wore. With one, I did some personalised embroidery (phrases her Dad used).

Thank you - I had a mooch about, and then saw one which was 'just right' in style. I'll hopefully be back to update you and anyone else as to how it went, once we've sorted the clothes out.

Your hand made keepsakes sound lovely, I've asked for the off cuts to be returned to me so I can so something crafty with them - but I'm not capable enough to make quilts or cushions for 3 of us.

This isn’t quite what you’re looking for, but I framed part of a lovely blouse that my mum had. I keep it on my sideboard where keys and things are and think of her every day when I see it.
