I have my mother’s burial of ashes / memorial coming up very soon. I did plan to have a long sleeved navy plain dress to wear , which I was going to subtly brighten with some jewellery . However, the weather is now looking like it might be warm and sunny and the navy dress will be too hot. I am considering wearing a floral long tea dress. I know my mother would have approved as she hated wearing black for funerals , but I am worrying about the very conservative church wardens of a rural village church . ( They will be definitely attending ). My question is , does a memorial/ internment ceremony have the same sort of etiquette around dress code as a funeral? Is a floral print acceptable?
