Funeral tomorrow

My son’s friend died very suddenly and his funeral is tomorrow. He was only 16. I just don’t know how we will get through tomorrow. Sixteen year olds should not be burying other sixteen year olds. The friend group chose to put his football boots in the coffin. It’s heartbreaking.

It is awful when someone so young dies, wishing you the strength to get through the day

Unfortunately have been there. As a close friend, we had tangerines chucked into the grave, was an inside joke.

my best friend was killed in a car crash when we have were 15. I cannot remember anything but my mum. We had white flowers, I can't even tell you what now.

Thank you for your replies. It’s awful. The friend group have put together a eulogy and their head teacher has offered to read it. My son is being so strong. I know today will be so hard for everyone.
