Missing my boy

A beautiful kind soul loved by everyone. Just over 3 months now since we lost him. Recent bi-polar diagnosis at 20, great support from mental health services, but he chose to take his path out of his life. I miss him so much.

It's heartbreaking.
3 months is very early days for you.
Counselling really helped me when my dd died.
Take care of yourself.

Losing them is a reverse of bringing them into this world. You count it in days, then weeks, then months. Exactly as you do when they are born.

That is so very true ...it's been 4 weeks since I lost my son aged 19...every day I think that it's one more day since he last existed on this earth and I hate the thought of those days accumulating Sadwe had his funeral Friday and now I have to accept he is really not coming back ...my gorgeous, funny, caring boy who had everything to live for 😢

My heart goes out to you. Your words echo with me very much about how to accept they are not coming back. I hope you have lots of love and support around you. I carry on by knowing that it will get better, but we are allowed to be sad.

Thank you. It’s strange I joined mumset after a miscarriage & got lovely advice. Everyone is so lovely. Sorry to hear about your brother. 💙

My son Steven took his own life aged 21 7 years ago
My lovely funny boy .somehow I've got through 7 years and I say this with guilt but I enjoy my life now.that sounds terrible. I miss Steven every day and I always will. I think he would love me to laugh .it's very early days for you

I am 5 years on and I miss my son every single day. But we carry on doing the best we can and living our lives, supporting our friends who are in a similar situation. Flowers
