Lost my sister

My little sister passed away November 2020. She was disabled and had life limiting illnesses. Although she had been ill severe times throughout my life and continued to beat all odds on the 26th November 2020 she sadly passed away with myself, my husband and my mum and dad all round about her. My daughter was born in 2018 and we called her after my sister. My daughter believes her auntie is a star in the sky. Sometimes she'll say that she sees her auntie Leah.
To be honest I'm not really sure why I'm posting this. I feel lost in life, in motherhood, in everything.

Is that what your DD was told that her aunt is in the sky? She’s still really young and can’t grasp the concept of death. I think it’s nice that she sees her aunt in the stars. Reminds me of the Dr Who episode with Kylie Minogue. Where her character dies and she’s released to the stars to fly.

My DD was almost 2 when her grandad died and he went to heaven in the sky and the pain he went through as we talked as she got older was so bad that him dying (it was terminal cancer) meant he was free from pain. whereas she was nearly 11 when her nan died so she knows that for us death is final and her nans body stopped working.

maybe you are posting because you miss your sister... why not do something to celebrate her life? it doesn't have to be major... maybe bake a cake or send a contribution to your favourite charity...
