Cruse Grief Chat

Just wanted to share that after losing my mum a couple of weeks ago I used grief chat tonight and I feel so much better for it.
I know that the feel good factor will be short lived and that my grief has not gone away at all, but for me it was one of the best things I have done for myself.
I know it might not suit everyone, but if anyone is considering it I would say give it a go (it opens again tomorrow). It was a space to just talk and be listened to.
Flowers for everyone.

@EmeraldDaisy where is grief chat pls?

DoraMaude · 29/09/2021 21:18

Can you tell me what this is please? I've recently lost a close family member and need help. Thank you.

www.cruse.org.uk/get-support/crusechat/

It's just a chat function with trained bereavement counsellors, but it's free and available 9 - 9 every day.
No magic answers or taking the pain away of course, but it's a space to talk about whatever is troubling you most right at that minute and the responses are quick and completely independent. And kind!

I hope it's of some help to you both @Millshake01 and @DoraMaude

Julia Samuel has an excellent app called Grief Works. I am using it for living loss and find it really helpful.
