My mum died today.
My beautiful, kind, caring and wonderful mum.
She was the best Mum I could have ever wished for and I don't know how I'm going to live without her.

I am so so sorry. My own dm died 4 weeks ago and it’s the saddest thing that has ever happened to me. You will be so up and down. Be kind and gentle with yourself and don’t be frightened of feeling all the emotions. Sending you strength, it’s so so hard I know Flowers

AtlasPine · 07/02/2021 17:03

I’m so sorry. I hope you have space to grieve. Have you got someone to help you with all the practical things?

ParkheadParadise · 07/02/2021 17:04

So sorry for your loss @Ironess

8Track · 07/02/2021 17:05

Oh Ironess, I'm so sorry to hear this. Sending you such an enormous hug.

It sounds like she would have been immensely proud of how you speak of her; she will have known how much you thought of her and be just as proud of you, I'm sure.

I shall raise my Sunday-dinner-cooking-wine glass to her and to you.

I'm sorry about your mum. I lost mine 4 weeks ago too and it's been a difficult day. Well everyday has been difficult since she left us.

I feel just like you do. My wonderful, beautiful kind mum has gone. It's so hard to believe it.

Be kind to yourself. It's hard.

I’m so sorry OP. It’s so devastating and new I think you have to ride out the wave feelings for a while and see where you wash up.

Your mum sounds amazing and I’m sure she taught you all the skills you will need. Sending hugs.

Lost my mum in April last year and time does help but there’s not a day goes by not thinking about her.
My best wishes are with you

HeronLanyon · 08/02/2021 07:25

So so sorry.
I lost my own really lovely old ma 2 years ago. Miss her every minute. Talk out loud to her every now and then. I hold her very close about me all the time.
You’ll be ok even though it doesn’t feel like it now.
One small part of a day at a time op.
X

MeanMrMustardSeed · 08/02/2021 07:25

I’m so sorry. It’s such a hard thing to go through. Be kind to yourself.

PrettyCherryBlossom · 08/02/2021 07:29

I’m so sorry Flowers
I could have written exactly the same post a few months ago, I was heartbroken.
I’m trying my best to deal with the grief and it’s not as raw as it was, even though my heart is shattered.
You will get through this, just take as much support as you can from those around you. There’s no right way to deal with this, sometimes you need to cry, sometimes you need to be busy, sometime you just need to sit quietly.
Take it easy on yourself and remember how much your mum loved you Flowers

I lost my Dad last November and my Mum 3 weeks ago. She was only 63. My heart feels broken. I spoke to my Mum or messaged every day. I just can't believe I'll never speak to her again. I miss her so much.
I think the above song is so beautiful. Sending a huge hug. This is a shit club to be a member of.

terraclutter · 08/02/2021 16:07

Think that link takes you to the whole album. The song I meant to link to is "All I Want" by Kodaline.
