Advice needed please.....

Hello ladies,
I was after some advice. A very good friend of mine who lives in another part of the country lost a full term baby this time last year. I would like to send a card to let her know I'm thinking of her and her partner. My husband thinks it's a bad idea and I might upset her. Could anyone offer me any advice?

I would send a card. She will definitely be thinking about the baby and will be touched and helped by your support and the fact that you remembered.

auntyspan - in same situation, for my friend it will be a yr tomorrow. is there someone u can ask? my friend will not talk about her baby at all i asked her mum if i should send i card and her mum said no she doesnt want to b reminded. so i was just thinking of calling tomorrow and following her lead

Well my friend has been quite vocal about it and likes talking about it, I think she feels it keeps her DD's memory alive. I don't want to ring her as I know she'll be upset, but i know her and her DP will be marking the day in some way.... all very difficult. I might send a text to her DP and warn him just incase she's in a mess.

I agree, send a card, she will have the date in her head and it will mean a lot that someone else has not forgotten this baby.
No doubt it will make her cry - but in a good way iyswim
