Unsupportive boyfriend:(

So I’m just posting this for my friend as she doesn’t use mumsnet...
She’s been with her boyfriend for a year and a half (very on and off). Her grandmother died a week ago and her boyfriend hasn’t been very nice to her. When she first found out her grandmother had died she was very upset and angry (took it out on people including her boyfriend) his initial reaction to her grief was to shout back at her.. calling her names, told her not to talk to him like that, told her to F off, even called her an over dramatic c**t. Since then she’s been spending a lot of time with her family and helping organise the funeral. Her boyfriend has checked in on her once in the whole week and even when she’s tried ringing him he won’t answer. She feels so hurt by everything and the fact her boyfriend seems very unsupportive she doesn’t know what to do. Any advice on what she should do or how to handle it? Thank you!

I'm not sure it's worth the effort if they've been very on and off. Why does she want to stay with him if he's not very nice?
