My nan passed away the other day suddenly her funeral is the 1st week of November I would have liked to have gone to show my respect and be there for my mum and dad but it's 600 miles away and I have 3 kids and I'm 7 months pregnant and money is tight at the moment but I can't stop feeling guilty for not attending..

What would your Nan say? It's a shame you can't be there but I am sure everyone will understand.

I'm not sure as she hated people fussing over her she was very independent. I mentioned to my mum and she said she would understand..

Sorry for your loss Flowers

I couldn't make it to the actual funeral for my grandmother as I had small children. We went to the beach and threw stones into the sea whilst we thought about her (she loved the sea). Can you find somewhere to go that she would have liked and say goodbye/remember her there?

That sounds like a really nice thing to do I will do that. As I said was really sudden and with Xmas round the corner and my kids still in school if I was alot closer I would have gone in a heartbeat but it's the distance and cost plus being 7 months pregnant aswell ..
