Is this normal?

So when I arrived in work this morning I received a message from my aunt to say my grandma doesn't have long left and if I want to see her I need to come soon so I have arranged to go up there on Saturday. I have spent the morning in my office bursting into tears which I get is normal. However I have just emailed my boss to ask if I can go home as I can't process anything that my emails are asking. I read them over and over but I can't work out what I should do. I also feel sick and shaky. Is that normal or am I overreacting?

Totally normal! IME grief is so all consuming it makes linear thinking nigh on impossible. And we often do feel grief before someone dies, not just after.

I'm sorry about your grandma FlowersFlowersFlowers

Thank you it's good to know it's normal, am home now so don't have to worry about the emails.
