Anyone else lost a loved one this weekend?

Hi all

Had a terrible weekend as I've sat with my Grandma who sadly passed away this morning at 4.50.
Grat bank holiday huh?

Anyone else lost someone this weekend and fancy a cry/chat over a virtal drink?

I haven't lost anyone but you have my condolences. I'm still not over the loss of my gran and that was 8 years ago

sorry to hear the rotten news, cake. it was my dad's anniversary on sunday - 2 years - so we were all sad too. it does get easier, i promise.

Was bereaved 3 weeks ago today - lost my darling Dad. So sorry to hear your bad news.

Custy headed North this weekend to see her Mum, she found her dead and she had been dead for a few weeks. I can't stop thinking about her.

am very sorry to hear that ( is that you figgy? ) it must have been a blessing though to have been with her for those last moments x

Yeah its me!
I guess it was a blessing in one sense but I can't get over how long and horrific it all was I've sat with her all weekend!!

it is very difficult and traumatic when you have to do something like that....be kind to yourself for a while, make sure you grieve and let out all the emotions you are feeling x

The best thing people have told me is not to care what other people are thinking. We each experience grief in different ways, so don't worry - you have to do what feels right for you. Keep talking - it really helps to let out what you are feeling inside.

I'm so sorry

I found out today..through starting another thread that my darling cousin who I have searched for & missed so terribly for years has died.
I have spent years imagining being reconciled with him..we grew up together in very traumatic circumstances & were very close.
Knowing now that that will never happen,that I will never have one of his big bear hugs again,hear his infectious laughter,have him meet my little boy..has broken my heart.
I am in pieces,have cried so much that I have a blistering headache & poor ds has had a miserable day.
Tomorrow I have to try & find answers to my questions & find out how & why he died & where he is now.
I cant bear to think that he's not out there somewhere...

lullabyloo how sad for you after all that effort...... family dynamics make situation like this so much worse don't they,
my own father (my grandmothers son) genuienly couldn't have given a crap when we rang him I'm sure she was trying to hang on for him which would explain why it was so long & horrific only we all knew he wasn't going to be coming!

Not this weekend but one of mine & dh's closest friends died on Tuesday. He was 40. Cant believe we'll never see him again

oh lovely...thats awful & so sad
My Nan lingered & lingered too because she was afraid to leave my mother(my mother had begged her not to die)
I held her hand & almost gave her permission to go & then she just went peacefully.

Arh thats so nice, its awful but we were almost begging her to give up last night after 48 hours of watching that & I don't think I'll ever be able to think of it as peaceful

Oh Lully, I have just read the post that I posted on the other day only to find out there was bad news for you. I am truly, truly sorry for your loss, I don't know really what to say. Big hugs to you and your DS.

Thankyou Aufish...I think I understand now what it means to be broken hearted

I have had to ring funeral directors,crematoriums,registry offices etc to try & find out what happened...why & how he died.
I cant bear to think that he was alone & in trouble & couldn't come home.
When things were bad at least we had each other...it seems he died alone...and it's tearing me apart.
He was my soul mate & I will forever miss him..

Lully I wish I could give you a hug, I have two friends like you describe, one male who I lived and then lived across the road from with until I was 7 years old and my female friend who I have known since the age of 4, they both know the real me inside and out and if something happened to either one of them I would be devastated.

Hi, I hope you don't mind me dropping in.

My mum died on 21st May. We laid her to rest yesterday.

I miss her so much.

I'm always up for a good cry at the moment.
