Ways to remember

I wanted some creative ways to remember my Mum. Just heard about one of the people who died in the Manchester bombings classmates have made a river of pebbles with messages on. Thought this was really amazing and something different. What have people done to mark to loss of their loved one and created in their memory? My Mum had a place where she used to sit with a bench. I wondered about getting it painted (professsionally) as it’s so precious. Can anyone share what they have done. In the last 3 years I have lost my younger brother to suicide and both my parents so wanted to maybe combine each of them?

Flowers gosh you've had a tough time. I saw the river of pebbles and thought it was lovely. Do you have a little corner of garden you could make into a memorial space? A nice small tree and a plaque near your bench?
My dad died last year and his ashes are in mums garden, in a very large pot with a lovely rose bush. I've added a little solar light so at night mum can see the rose.
