Hi, anyone there to talk? My darling dad passed away a few hours ago suddenly and I'm struggling.

He was poorly but we didn't think so badly.

I'm 43 and I have three beautiful DC, two of whom are heart broken. As is my mum.

I'm sitting getting slowly drunk, I have a great support network but I don't know what to do. I wasn't ready. I was lucky enough to hold his hand and kiss him goodnight as he gave his last breath. My mum was there too.

TIA

Don't get drunk. Alcohol is a depressant so it won't do you want good. Sorry to hear about your dad. You need to look after yourself so try to get some sleep. Take care.

I'm so sorry for your loss. It is such a huge thing to take in and you must be feeling overwhelmed. When I lost my dad I felt cut adrift, as if all the certainties in my life had become uncertain.

I hope that your family and friends can comfort you over the coming days and weeks and that slowly you will be able to make some sense of it all.
