My mum

It would be her 71st birthday tomorrow, I never ever missed her birthday, she's been gone nearly 7 months but it seems just like yesterday I watched her take her last breath. I'm also 40 weeks pregnant tomorrow, due on Mum's birthday. They asked me to go in at 2 pm for induction and I just can't do it, I miss my mum so much.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

Have you explained to the hospital and asked to move the date? I'm sure they would be sympathetic.

I’m so sorry for your loss. My mum only made it to mid fifties but whatever age it is, you are never ready. Could it be a comfort for your baby to be born on her birthday (saying that, induction never usually happens on the same day as birth!). I had a pic of my mum in the delivery room, she was so there with me. Have a good cry for her, she deserves to be missed, there is nothing wrong with grieving hard, especially only 7 months in.
Wishing you strength and courage for the next few days Flowers

What a bittersweet time for you, OP, missing your mum and looking forward to your new baby. Seven months is no time at all, no wonder you are still grieving.

Thank you for your replies xx 11 weeks after I lost my mum, my Dad passed away too so I lost both my parents in a short space of time. I was their only child ☹️

So sorry for your loss.
I lost my mum 4 1/2 years ago aged 68. And there isn't a day goes by where I don't think about her.

It's awful. I look for signs from my mum. Maybe this date is a sign from yours? Thanks she is always with you and so is your dad.
