My sister died 8 weeks today. She was 41. Bad night. Up since 5am. Off to take my daughter to her school Christmas concert. She had her 1st performance yesterday and I was so proud but a few tears shed as it hit me that my sister is missing out on this. She has a 5 year old daughter. My mum is looking after her at the moment. They both live several hours by car away. I felt so happy watching my daughter, them BAM it hit me..

Hi Suitcase - sorry to hear your sad news. It must be so painful for you and your family. Have you had any counselling, or friends you could talk to? 8 weeks is no time at all and you sound to have a busy time which doesn't give proper time to grieve. I hope you find time to give yourself a breathing space Flowers

I have not had counselling. Speak to my mum most days. It's hard. Today I have struggled. Thanks both for replying. x

Hi Suitcase - I was in your shoes earlier this year (ages almost exactly the same). Its shit it really is. I had random moments in the weeks/early months that followed when all of a sudden it would hit me again - sometimes it was in response to something - music, photo etc but sometimes it was just out of the blue. With Christmas coming up I know it will be hard for you and your family. Do tell us more about your sister if you want - and happy to PM too Flowers
