Christmas cards

We've always sent cards to close family members & my mum loved to choose ones with nice verses

I found it really difficult to find one for my dad but managed to find a fairly simple one not gushing with festivities but now I'm stuck as to what to write in it...any suggestions?

I presume that your mum has died, and your dad widowed? Apologies if I've got the wrong end of the stick.

But could you put something nice inside like "Christmas will be different this year Dad, but I'm looking forward to spending it with you and remembering how much Mum loved us all being together"?

That made me cry Gazelda and my parents are alive and well. That's lovely.
