but this seems as apt a place aas any. dd's 2nd birthday tomorrow and feeling just a bit sad that her dad is not around to share it with her and with me. Preparing for dd's birthday tomorrow seems just a little empty. I am looking forward to it, I am, but do wish I had someone close to share it with .

thanks, mp. I;ve had a rather large glass of wine whilst sorting out the garden and it's gone to my head. Must be blowing up the paddling pool thats done it. It has made me feel quite weepy but I guess thats normal at times like this. I know he's with me but oh I wish he was really with me

Oh no. Try to enjoy yourselves and think that he is with you in spirit sharing the fun.
Happy birthday to your dd.

thanks Surfer, i'm ok just sad for dd though between you and me, she'll 'see him' but I need someone to share this day with and the memories of it if that makes sense. dh would be telling me off now if he was here. Maybe next year I will, eh?

Nothing helpful to say to you, DG; very for you that he isn't there to share (but still pleased that DD is here at all)

Surfermum · 16/04/2007 20:56

Lol @ "between you and me", but yes, it makes perfect sense. Lets send out lots of positive thoughts then for your someone special to come along.

DelGirl · 16/04/2007 20:57

hello Jan, how are you? I know, she is a miracle but I don't want to be on my own any more and I want someone to enjoy dd as much as I do and I know she would be ecstatic to have a man around!
