I know this may sound stupid, but here its goes. I started bleeding last week, nothing too heavy just like a very light period, started getting twinges, and had a scan on Thursday, they said everything was okay the heart had started, my hormone cyst was large so if I get anymore twinges then I need to let them know. It's now Monday and I am still bleeding, got dull back ache and mild twinges like mild period pain. I just keep thinking something is not right this time around. I keep thinking I might be losing the baby. If I was miscarrying would it have happended by now? I have been bleeding off and on since last Wednesday, and I am worried sick!

sounds like you should go back to the EPU ,esp if you are still bleeding......

I think I will call the doctor in the morning! You never know I might just have a water infection. I only went for the scan on Thursday and everything proved fine, they seemed to think it was implantation bleeding, but I had already bled on the 28th, and took it that was my implantation bleeding, it was just a few days before my period was due. So why would I have started bleeding last week?(Retorical question)

Hi Loopy, sorry to hear this, best go back to EPU, to be honest if it is just light bleeding with no clots, you should be ok. It generally takes a week or more - up to three weeks to have complete natural m/c and you will know if you lose it.

Hope you are ok.

Half of women who bleed during early pregnancy miscarry; half don't. If your bleeding was very heavy with clots, I would think that sounded ominous, but I don't think the period-like twinges are significant. I had period-type cramps in my early weeks of pregnancy, and i bled (lightly) for six weeks. Try not to panic - it may well be ok - all fingers crossed for you that it is.

the blood has sometimes been a little stringy, thanks for the information, I guess only time will tell! I am going to see the doctor tomorrow (if I can get in), and check for any infections, just to rule them out and put my mind at ease.

It's a strange feeling, you know when you just have a niggling doubt at the back of your mind that something isn't right, I don't even feel pregnant anymore - unlike at the very beginning when I knew I was pregnant, then did a test and found I was.

I have just been to the doctors this afternoon, and they don't seem too concerned, I told them I had cervix erosion before I had Thomas , so they had a look and took a swab, said there was some discharge, and my cervix was red and inflammed with 5 areas of what looked like grazing. Won't have the test results for about 7 days, I thought if there is sign of infection they may have put me on antibiotics just as a precaution until the results came in! WHat do you think? I don't want the infection to cause any harm to unborn baby if that's the case.

I really don't know, I'm afraid - maybe they think the risks of infection are lower than risks of antibiotics at this stage? But if you're concerned, talk to your doctor again.

Great news that they don't seem worried about miscarriage.

let usknow how you get on. xx
