This time last year my lovely DH passed away from cancer.
The wonderful mumsnetters helped me through this difficult time, leading up to his death and after.
Last week I received the most beautiful blanket from the Woolly Hugs.
I want to let people know that me and my children have got through this year and emerged as stronger, more resilient and more compassionate people.
Life will never be the same. My children will never have another Dad. But we have learnt to remember the good times and not dwell on the sad memories.
Bereavement counselling has helped all three of us enormously. I joined a gym and got a personal trainer. Of course there have been gut-wrenching dark moments but they are less frequent.
But I want to let you know that we have made it this far.
Thinking of those who are in the early stages.
