Light bleeding after D&C

I had a D&C last monday 21/6/04 and now it's a week latter 28/6/04 and I still have some light bleeding only when wipeing myself after going to the toilet...

Is this normal? It said on the sheet I got given from the doctors that the bleeding should stop 4 days after the D&C but I'm still getting really faint light spotting.

Any help or insight would be great thanks...?

i remember i had this after D&C, so i think it's normal, but if you are at all worried, or it goes on too much longer you could always phone the surgery and chat to them about it (saves the hassle of making an appointment!). sorry you had to have D&C - take care of yourself

Thankyou for the reply gettingthere. Sorry to hear you had a D&C too.

The thing is I already have an appointment to see the doctor today. I'm just all anxious and beating myself up with worry. I'm sure everything is ok. The bleeding is pretty faint, I just wanted some reasurance from people that have been through it all too.

I just want my body back to normal so I can forget and get back on track. Ahhh!

zoz, I think my bleeding lasted up to two weeks (but very light) - and I think that's what the literature from my hospital said. Do go to your GP though, because you are going through a really hard time and need as much support as you can get. I may have got over the bleeding nearly 4 months ago now, but I still haven't got over the crying. I'm not saying that to alarm you, but to let you know that it's OK to continue to feel terrible for as long as it takes. Big hugs (((())))

Yeah I ended up going to the doctors yesterday and she seems to think everything is normal and it's even normal to beed up to 3 weeks after the D&C.

Hopefully it goes away soon though because I do get worried, proberly about nothing but with emotions all over the place I guess it's acceptable.

It's just that sometimes the blood gets a bit heavier then really light again... Is this normal?
