heart beat - when?

my sister has just had her first scan, after ivf - and no heart beat as yet. it is six weeks.??? is this a problem. i can't rememember as my first scan was 12 weeks and ages ago as well...

often a heartbeat cannot be detected until 7 + weeks. when is she being scanned next?

I had a scan at 5+5 with no heart beat. Saw a heartbeat at 7 weeks. My doctors were terrible at explaining that this was not always bad news at 5+5 so I got very worried. All was fine though. I hope your sister gets good news at her next scan.
