m/c at same stage each time?

Hi

We started trying for children last year and I have had 2 m/c s in 4 months. Both m/c s have started at six weeks.
I have made appointment with GP but have to wait a week.
Just wondering if this timing is a co-incidence or if it's a sign of a medical condition. Would appreciate anyone who's been through something similar (or has any ideas).

Thank you

Both of mine have been at 10 weeks but I don't know how far along I actually was (you know the baby could have died before I actually started bleeding). Was just told it was chance. But then I already have 2 children (am beginning to think they are blooming miracle!)

I hope you get some answers from your GP - mine was nothing but useless!

Hi Mauvem

Sorry to hear of your losses. I have had three missed m/c the babies died about 7 weeks, but did not find out till 8, 10 and 12 weeks. i know they died then from the scans, before or after.

I suppose the biggest development is at this age of a embroy is when the heart starts beating, i have often thought that maybee they weren't strong enough due to chromosonal deformaties ( the most common m/c cause) or because the placenta was trying to take over then but couldn't support the baby. Due to blood clotting (another common m/c cause)

I had blood tests after 2 m/c and saw a specialist. I then has ds, but then suffered 3rd m/c recently. After my 3rd I had tests again, and have now been prescibed asprin and extra calcium. it is working so far as 10 weeks pregnant and baby doing well.

I would ask your dr for blood tests for clotting, just to be on the safe side. They should do it if asked given your history although agree with cazzybabs, most are useless, so find a good one.

There is light at the end of the tunnel, although it has been a difficult tunnel sometimes.
Have a look at the conception-trying to conceive after m/c thread, lots of support and advice there

Hi

Thank you for your messages. Managed to get into GPs today, on a cancellation & he's written me up for blood tests. Off to do that tomorrow.

Thank you
