This morning I walked along the cliffs
Kept on thinking the what ifs
I saw a child with her Mummy go by
Daisy I just wanted to cry

Can you now brush your own hair
I hope you can because it's so fair
I'll always remember your little curls
They looked so sweet my special girl

Are you doing yout phonics well
I bet you're giving your teacher hell
Try to sit still and do what is asked
I know for you that will be a task

Remember to put your shoes on the right feet
And Daisy I hope one day we'll meet
In the place where you have gone
Wait for me when I come along

Mummy's cold so she must go
Daisy Daisy I love you so
Be good my cheeky little girl
Remember to give me a little twirl
