a close friend who has a 4month old was recently diagnosed with cancer. I want to send her a gift but don't know what to send, any ideas?

I think the best gift may be something that is of practice help. A cleaning service, meals or groceries delivered. Etc. it's very kind of you to think of them

This is a bit further down the line but, when I had a cancer, my sister in law ,and another friend, remembered each time that i started another round of chemo and they both sent or card or a small gift each time. That really helped me.
As for now, anything is welcome. It's just nice to know people care. I'm a bit of a chocoholic and one friend sent a big Cadburys gift box. Perfect!

That sounds like a lovely idea, how about a pamper box? Nice candle, posh bubble bath, face mask? Voucher for a spa treatment?

I think it is a lovely idea. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in September last year. At the time of diagnosis my children were 7 and 3. My friends sent me flowers, cards and one friend gave me a friendship bangle before I started chemo. They also made an effort to help me out with the children and to come round and make me a cuppa of tea and just generally give me an ear to bend! I hope your friend makes a speedy recovery.
