Last year my friend lost her beautiful baby. Her pregnancy all went fine but complications during labour meant her little one didn't make it Sad . She isn't coping well at all and she has been referred for couselling by her GP. Sadly I feel that the NHS is failing her, she's been on the waiting list for 7 months now with no appiontment in sight. I wondered if there were other ways she could get the help she needs? Are there any organisations or charities out there which offer help to bereaved parents?

How very sad for her. I think the best charity to approach would probably be SANDS (the stillbirth and neonatal death charity). I hope she's able to get some help: www.uk-sands.org/

Local hospices tend to have bereavement charities attached to them which you can self refer too. Also if you are able to pay there are a number of private counselling services available, her local health visitor should be able to recommend one, my dh pays £45 an hour, we are in Yorkshie.
