My nana

I'm heartbroken. My nana is going to die this weekend.

I have never known anyone I love to die before and I don't know what to expect.

My nana was frightened but she's now just looking into space and slipping in and out of consciousness.

She's just turned 80 and she promised me she would live to 100.

I feel like my heart is going to explode into a million pieces.

I'm trying to keep strong so my 3 dc have a lovely Christmas because it's what my nana would want.

Christmas was her favourite time of the year.

Just been to see my nana for the last time. We think she will pass tonight.

I'm devastated.

Patrickstarxx, I just wanted to say that you are not alone. I lost my gran on 9th December. Like you, we knew it was imminent. Hugs to you in these sad times. Xx

Thank you for your reply. My head has gone completely.

We were told she was going to come home but when they took her catheter out her kidneys failed.

The pain I feel is like nothing I have ever felt before

So sorry you are losing your nana, it's hard saying goodbye to someone you love so much. I lost a auntie on Christmas Day ( 12 years ago ) she was in her 40's, she loved christmas so much, was one of those who covered her house in lights and put her tree up on the 1st of December , she held on to see Christmas Day and then passed in the evening , it was a very sad time but we always try and remember how much she love christmas.
