How long should I realistically wait b4 trying again

Hi everyone. I have recently suffered a m/c at 6 weeks. Fortunately I needed no intervention and nature unfortunately did what it needed to do.
I know I SHOULD wait three months b4 trying again but I don't want to. I havegot very used to indentifing the mucus and now when I am ovulating. I hate knowing that I could get pregnant but having to refrain.
Considering this is the second loss I have suffered in 6 months (one in may and one at end of august) How long do I really have to wait?

I had a mc in July the consultant advised me to wait until after first AF then start ttc. AF came two weeks after bleeding had stopped.

So sorry to hear that, but glad you didn't have to have any intervention - much easier to cope that way I think.

I was told to wait until I had had a period - purely in order to help date any possible pregnancy.

But early scans can deal with dating a pregnancy, so, as long as you are confident that you would recognise pregnancy, and not just by the lack of a period, I would say to go ahead when you feel emotionally and physically ready. You don't have to refrain for some administrative reason.

I also had two in just under six months. I don't think it's significant. TBH I don't remember when we started trying again, but I'm now 37w.

typhoon i will echo what pretty candles has said i suffered a m/c in june and was totally eager to try straight away, the doctors advice was to wait for one period and when i asked why she said it is purely so they can date the pregnancy.

Whenever is the right time for you. My friend had a mc at 5 weeks, had her AF a couple of weeks later and conceived in that cycle. I think there's a period of hyper fertility after an mc, it certainly seemed to be that way for my friend - they'd been ttc for a year before the mc and she conceived twice in 2 cycles.

If you feel up to it physically and emotionally then it's totally your choice.

Sorry to hear about your loss. You can try again as soon as you feel ready. I had a missed MC in August and had an ERPC. We decided to try again straight away and just see what happens - I've left it to fate so to speak this month and haven't tried to work out when ovulation was and i'm not to sure when Af is due as it wasn't regular before the last pregnancy so I'm just waiting to see what happens over the next few weeks.

there is absolutely no medical need afaik to wait three months. imo the time to start is when you are ready to start. if you wait for any time, then ime you can feel like your life is on hold.
which is not a good thing.

I had a mc and D&C in July, conceived immediately again and sadly had another mc last week - but I do not believe the second mc had anything to do with not waiting. The pregnancy implanted fine and there was lots of hormone - just the sac was empty. I will wait for my period before trying again this time, but simply because I think my body needs a bit of a break from hormonal changes.

So sorry about your loss. I had a missed mc last year at 11 weeks. We left it for one cycle and then tried again. Fell pregnant on the 3rd cycle. It's true that you are very fertile just after a MC or a pregnancy. Best of luck.xxx

I would be shocked if there are still any experts today who say wait 3 months. Physically there is absolutely no need to wait at all-not even for one period, (as others have said this is so it can be dated but scans do this much better anyway).

You just need to make sure you are ready emotionally. Good luck and have fun!! xx xx
