...Sharing a glass of wine, not being the reason we're raising a glass. She was fun, decent, a great sounding board and a friend from years ago. It shouldn't have been now,I want her back.

Its a shame you appreciate them even more when they are gone. We both knew each other thought of the other when we saw something the other liked, but my, she was more important to me than i realised. Just hope she had an inkling what a good person, and friend she was, and how much she was valued.

I have been where you are and I am so sorry your going through this.
My dear friend was taken in November. Nobody expected it and she left 2 children behind (she wasn't married - I met her in a women's aid hostel).
I refused to believe she had gone but I had too - I identified the body.
On the day of the funeral I didn't cry. I had done all my crying.
Now, I do cry for her. She was young. Certain things remind me of her. Days and places. Food etc.
The pain will never go away but it will ease with time. Please PM me if you need to. So sorry x

The loss of someone dear is always hard. It shouldn't be like that- especially if they are young. Don't be hard on yourself- you need to grieve for her.
