Delayed bereavement in a child

My DS(4) had a close relationship with his grandad who died last year. We had a short time to say good bye and it seemed DS took things in his stride. Two days ago I mentioned he would be seeing grandad in the morning, meaning his other grandad, but he got confused thinking I was talking about the one that died. It seems to have triggered some bereavement as he's been very upset, wanting cuddled to sleep (very unusual) and wanting to sleep with me on a night, saying he misses his grandad and wants to see him.

I'm not sure how to handle this other than reassuring him?
